Ethan Kabir is the founder of Rainflower, a youth-led initiative developing a smart water-collection device. An 11th-grade student at Rocklin High School with Bangladeshi heritage, Ethan started Rainflower on a simple belief: K-12 students don't have to wait for distant institutions to solve big problems.

His devices sense rainfall, bloom open to collect it, and coordinate with nearby "flowers" to store and filter clean drinking water right where it's needed — in crowded cities and remote villages alike, where safe water remains a daily struggle for far too many people. Through what he calls "imagination engineering," Ethan leads a growing community of student builders, coordinators, and mentors working to turn every rainfall into an opportunity.
